Where was I?

Submit Answers in Comments (below). Answers will not be revealed until a winner is selected.

After I was constructed as a hotel, my name changed a few times over the course of many years. In this shot, I am known as the Mayfair Hotel. Your challenge today is to name the street my grand entrance faces. Its name changed, too, but either of its names will suffice.

Mango/Mayfair Hotel was located on Mango Avenue, later changed to Central Avenue - on the corner of Fruitville Road.
It survived Hurricane Donna with only one broken window on the north side. It was owned by Mercedes Muff in the early 1960's. She was a pretty sturdy structure and sorry it is now gone. I enjoyed exploring the interior back in those days. So sorry it is now gone.
