Charles Ringling

Who is Ringling Boulevard named after in Sarasota? If you thought John Ringling of Circus and Museum fame you'd be wrong. It was his brother Charles Ringling. He played a key role in the development of the downtown area.

Where is Charles Ringling buried??
Posted by janekirschner on September 22, 2011
I read your emails each week and this time you really caught my attention. In July of 2010 my wife and I purchased what is now called Siesta Sunset Royale at 5322 Calle de la Siesta on Siesta Key and we operate it as a vacation rental.
We had been told that the house next to us on Beach Road and across from Crescent Beach access #7 was the Charles Ringling house, the house next to it on the north was the carriage house for the Ringling house and where are building now sits was the kitchen house and residence for domestic staff who worked for the Ringling's.
Have we been believing and retelling an urban legend?
